The app is not sending text notification to my Pebble. I have Samsung Galaxy S3 with Android 4.1.2. I also use GO SMS as my messaging app.
Response:
Please confirm the link between your Pebble and Augmented is working properly first. Does the menu->Test notification work? If not you need to enable 3rd party Apps in the Android Pebble app and enable Pebble in the Augmented SmartWatch Pro Settings.
Once you confirm the test notification is OK, then you need to try the following:
Go to Optimized notifications and scroll all the way down till you see the GoSMS option and enable it. Test to see if it works now. If not try the alternate approach – disable under Optimized notification and enable the app under All other notifications settings (you may want to try Alt Info option to see ow the info displayed is impacted).

What is “stealth mode”?
Answer:
It will show only the sender and not the subject information. It is for those situations when others may be looking at your watch when notifications arrive.

Correct Version 5.6 is the last release that supports the New Events feature for the Sony SmartWatch 1. Please do not update if you must use this feature. - Select Sony Watches Options
- Select SmartWatch 2 Specific Options

- Go back to top level menu
- Select Optimized Notification Options
- Ensure Play/Pandora/Spotify/Deezer/LastFM is enabled.
When a track is played in Deezer then the track info should be shown on the Sony SW2 along with the three music controls.

Augmented SmartWatch Pro 
Much frustration; hope you can help. I have Augmented Smartwatch Pro.
I have been enjoying my new Pebble, and I believe I have all the apps for it I should, for instance, Tasker, Pebble Notifier, Notify My Pebble, and now Augmented Smart Watch Pro.. My Gmails and text messages appear on the watch correctly, but nothing I have tried to set up for ASWpro to do (via Tasker) results in anything going to the watch. For instance in Tasker, I start by specifying a Event, I select the type as an alert, I specify the alert is to be a vibrate, and I specify the condition for the event shall be the battery’s power level dropping below 30%. Now I assume I have to add an additional task to get the message over to the watch. Nothing I can do with Pebble Notifier or with Augmented Smart Watch will transmit any text to the watch under any circumstances. Now course I’ve got the accessibilities set so any app I want notification from (including ASWpro) is checked. I try test runs of the profile and the alert occurs on the Android phone rather than the Pebble Smart Watch. Yes, I did install Pebble Notifier after Tasker and ASWpro after all. What am I missing? Is there some I’m supposed to call as a task to pass a message over to the Pebble?

no it will send the taker info as a regular notification to Augmented to the Pebble.
try a simple test taser message to Augmented and see if it works.
The tasker task Wait-Lunch-Microwave is a good example to use as a test from Tasker->Augmented->Pebble as a notification

I like your app, but am having a problem. I keep getting e-mail notifications that just include a list of subjects instead of actual messages. I turned off the option to get the past 5 messages but that didn’t do anything. I am using a Galaxy S4 with the Exchange option (I cannot get Touchdown to send notifications to my bar, so messages don’t show up if I enable Touchdown).

For touchdown it sounds like notifications need to be enabled in the touchdown app – once that is done it will work.
for Email see this – the only way to get the body of exchange email is to use root.
I actually get the e-mail body if the message is the first one of the day, or after I clear out my inbox. Starting with the second message, I only get the subjects and sender. I’m using the native e-mail app on the S4, which is set up for my Exchange account.
As far as Touchdown goes, I have notifications enabled but they do not appear. I’ve sent that issue to the Touchdown folks but have not received a reply yet.
the email behaviour you see if normal – email apps sometimes show different info for the very 1st email vs the rest.

Can you add a fusion to word wrap when the FullWidth characters is more then 7 characters?
When showing FullWidth characters, like “ＡＢＣＤＥＦＧＨＩＪ” and “１２３４５６７８９”

Just purchased a Sony Smartwatch 2 and the pro version of your app. I guess I’m having trouble understanding all the things your app can do and could really use some documentation. But first I’d like to understand: when I select the Augmented Smartwatch Pro app on my watch and it launches, I see the app text and the icon in the bottom right in color for about 3 seconds and then the entire screen goes grayscale and low-res (the text and icon are fuzzy and are no longer in color). Is this supposed to happen? If I close the app and relaunch it, the same thing happens…color for a few seconds, and then grayscale and fuzzy.
You are not really supposed to launch the app from the Sony – only to see the latest notification and to do the tasker tasks or music controls (options and back button respectively).
Augmented shows notifications as they occur in real-time on the Sony SW2.
Looks like you have a flag enabled by accident – turn it off – sony watch options -> smartwatch 2 specific options -> enable low power mode screen for alerts – ensure this is unchecked.
To see a notification for a longer period of time adjust the time to show Screen 1 option under SOny Watch options.
Thanks for the quick reply. Funny enough, I went and looked at the “enable low power mode screen” option like you suggested and it was unchecked…I hadn’t checked it previously. I toggled it on and off again and tested my watch, and now it no longer has the problem. So anyway, what you said makes perfect sense…but I wanted you to at least know that I never turned this option on and the box was unchecked, yet it was clearly enabled anyway (not sure if this is a bug or what). Appreciate your help, I’m a big user of Touchdown and a bunch of other apps and I’m sure I’m going to find your application invaluable once I get the hang of it.

Hey, it takes a massive long time for augmented to get on the screen. Galaxy s4 2.3.

do you mean on Android – this is to get to the settings – yes it will take some time if you have a poor network and trying to do a weather update (when opening augmented on android) – but this is not the normal use case as it is to the watch – or are you talking about the watch?

@johnnysmad – this is normal when the phone or watch is heavily loaded – .e. it slows down. Suggest rebooting – also set time for frst screen to a higher value (and use latest version from market)

trim info removes duplicate info if presented on the watch (i.e. info is duplicated)
Alt info – enable to obtain notifiation info in a different manner for the specific app – useful for hangouts, Gmail etc. Try with it on or off to see what info appears. Use trim info to tweak it
what exactly is this app supposed to be doing? it adds the time and weather to the bottom of test notifications. otherwise, there is no sign of the app on the watch. Pebble, Galaxy S4, Android 4.2.2, trial version. Perhaps a user guide?
the primary purpose is to show any notification at a glance much more than the native pebble app.
It also has tasker integration and any other features – click on Pebble on this blog
it will not show up on the pebble as it only sends from android.

Hi, I have a Pebble and the trial version installed. Yet, no notifications are sent to my Pebble. I do have the accessability on and the 3rd party apps notification option as well. For the first 3-4 days, it worked fine, after that, I can’t seem to get it working anymore. Any thoughts?
BTW. Using SGS4 with AOSP 4.3.1, while functioning it was running on 4.3. Upgraded it after notifications stopped working, so that is not the problem.
Did you enable canvas by chance. Thus should be disabled. Try a test notification from augmented it will tell you if something is wrong
I did not have Canvas enabled. Tried notification with Canvas on and off, still nothing. Not even the test notification.
Also factory reset of my Pebble didn’t help.
What shows on Android phone when you try a test notification – augmented should show a pop-up,
On my phone it shows the following pop-up: Test Notification Notification should show up on your SmartWatch. If you do not see the notification
Pebble – Check if Always Send Notificationsand Send 3rd Party Notifications are both enabled in the Pebble Android App.
Also the Trial Version counter increases when sending a test notification, but my Pebble doesn’t seem to receive the message somehow.
Ow wow, somehow during the testing just now, the notification works again. Strange, because all the settings are the same as before, but I’m glad it works again.

Why does the Augmented Smart watch app keep depositing it’s logo in my picture album?
This is fixed in 5.6.1 please update.
I have only just downloaded your app, I have 5.6.1 but the problem remains
can you reboot your phone?
to be sure when you open the app on the watch it should show only the augmented logo for each notification and not contact pictures etc. Is it doing this?
if showing pictures then the 5.6.1 is not loaded properly and a reboot (or uninstall reinstall) will fix it.
No it doesn’t do that, it actually puts a picture of the logo in my photo album on my Sony Xperia Z1, not the watch
yes understood -but if only the augmented logo shows up on the watch then the problem is fixed – so reboot the phone if you still see images being added or images other than the augmented logo on the prior alerts
I have reinstalled the app and there was an update for the picture album available which I have also installed and now the logo is on the watch and so far not on the phone, thanks

Your app has an option, where it says that it can extract the chatinfo for every message in hangouts. Is that correct that I see then every message instead of “8 new messages” or so on?
Because enabling that option won’t change anything.
I have root, as its prerooted in panaroid android and sqlite3 preinstalled too.
I get a sqlite shell in the terminal.
I see that your app never requested for root permissions, how can I get it asking?
I use the integrated superuser system from PA.
if running android 4.1 no root is required just enable under optimized notfications. ensure root is disabled.
if running android 4.0 or earlier then root is needed. if it is not requesting root then something is wrong – suggest you grant always in SU settings

Perhaps there is a issue with 4.3?
It doesn’t extract any messages neither if I turn that root option of, or on.
yes there may be an issue on selected 4.3 devices – I am not able to reproduce it on the HTC One running 4.3 I have. What device are you running 4.3 on?
I use a Samsung Galaxy S3 but Paranoid is a AOSP derivat, not a Samsung Image.
is there a debug option, where I can check, how it tries to get the messages?

If I get multiple messages from one channel it works, but if i get messages from different channels at the same time it switches to the “3 new messages” view again.
this could be the expected behaviour – or did it change for you?
I made some tests, If I get messages from one channel it works but not if I get messages from different channels. But I cant expand them in the notify center too, i I get the message from more channels. I think then I have bad luck, right?
@devzero – will do more testing on Android 4.3/4.4 over the xmas holidays to see if I can use the dismiss notification options on the SW2 – will look at this also then

it is disabled by default – enable it and set it to textview.
It should then start showing alerts on the Android device.
You need to install augmented on the watch (running Android). It will show notifications local to the watch as a pop up on the watch.
I bought this application on 5th November.
I have not gotten to see the images of Whatsapp, and I do not see notifications on the screen when selected.
I have configured the software to all possible forms, but there is no way of seeing them as the “watcit!”

Hi having issues with the weather city. Have changed on phone under smartwatch to my location yet it still shows location as Takoradi on watch. I have set the weather WOEID to the correct number for where I live and also set the weather provider option to yahoo (with WOEID). What am I doing wrong
You need to wait one refresh period for it to update – or force an update – open augmented app – hit menu and exit option then open augmented app. This should trigger a forced update.

it still works pretty fine exept the tasker-Module in the music player.
if you switch to the next page it happens very fast, it seems the pebble cached that, or something. Because if I want f.e. start my Task (volumedown) then it starts a different one f.e. inetswitch.

Is it possible, to deactivate Vibration ONLY on “connect/disconnect” – event?
(You know, it means the event when the smartwatch is too far away from the smartphone)
And: Do you think that it is possible in future, to manipulate the “offline-watch screen ” with a small icon for example, that indicates a new event. So you can see it, without pressing any button?? That would be helpful in “no vibration mode”.

to be clear – you mean no vibration on SW2 when the re-connects? the disconnect vibration is not controlled by augmented but by the Sony firmware on the SW2.
Icon mods could be a future request.
Yes, I mean both: The disconnect and the re-connect vibration on SW2 when the smartphone is out of reach. Vibration is OK in case of e-mail, sms or calls…., but the SW2-vibration every time the smartphone is out of reach is really annoying (for me). I know this, that I lose connection when I’m more than 10m away from my smartphone. No need to vibrate permamently…. 😦
But I see, this is controlled by the sony firmware, so unfortunately there’s no solution for me by now. ‘Cause when I deactivate vibration on the SW2, there is no vibration at all.

Since the firmware-update a few days ago, the SW2 ALWAYS vibrates on losing or getting connection. Even when “Vibration” on the SW2 is set off…. Great job, sony 😦

I use Galaxy S III run on Android 4.3 and Sony SmartWatch 2. When I got notification. My watch show black screen (back light is on) around 30 sec to 1 min after that the message is show. How can I fix it. I want to see my notification immediately. Thank you 🙂
this is not normal. Do you have any power management features enabled – if so can you add the Sony software to the “exclude” list.
I had to do this with my Sony. One way to test this theory is when you see this, to turn on the phone and the sony display should be updated right away.

Just got Augmented set up on my SW2. Are you planning on dding to the number of possible sms responses? 1 or 2 more would be great.
Also why don’t the sms responses come up as an option if i open the notification through the prior notifications menu?
The SMS responses only comes up if a) it is from the default native SMS app and 2) when the Alert arrives on your android. It does not come up in the prior notification menu (in the current version)

Not sure if weather info is working well. I have SW2. configured the weather options, WOEID 766273 and i get message “weather WOEID set to Madrid”.
However at the smartwatch what i see misleading information.
At the first screen in the upper-right corner i can see “Takoradi H:25,3 L:25,3”. Sometimes it shows “Update delayed H:25,3 L:25,3” (but always the same number 25,3)
At the first screen at the bottom, I see the current time (ok), then “25,3º Sky is clear”
Again, the same number at any time.
When i go to the weather screen on the left side i see information that seems ok. Currently there is a sun, and max/min temperature forecast 17º / 4º, that seems to be correct forecast for madrid. On the right part i can read Madrid. But again, i see in blue color, a big “25,3º” that seems to be the current temperature.
I tried different weather provider option (default and yahoo) but it does not seem to work
any ideas why this is not working?
This could be tricky – can you open augmented on you phone and look at messages at bottom in red – any successful weather updates or do they all say ‘got null”? Is your SD card full by chance as the info stored there?

you have 2 round dials on the watch face when launched on SM2, I don’t have these dials on my screen, I think they are weather related but cant tell from all your videos and pictures, what are they and how do I get them to show on my watch?

These are for withings and fitbit (note fitbit is not working right now for new users – it works if you already oauth your account in augmented).
could they maybe be used for extra weather info like wind speed? UV count? just an idea lol

i have pro version and worked fine.
but after a factory reset of my android phone (non-rooted Nexus 4), i realized i did not backup the settings.
also a new version was available (6.6.2) so i installed the last version.
after installing and configuring to receive whatsapp notifications, it is not working. other notifications are ok, but not whatsapp
i am checking “all other notifications” -> whatspapp -> “enable”
also tried selecting “enable” + “alt info”
but whatsapp notifications are not showing up in my SmartWatch2
other options are unchanged from the default settings. i am unable to find what could be wrong
any ideas?

yes, it was not enabled in optimized, only in the “all other notification” part.
here i provide more info:
-as mentioned, since i lost the previous config file due to a factory reset of my android phone, the configuration was a ‘clean’ version as it comes after a fresh instalation. i only checked some notifications in the “all other notification” part. and removed some notifications in the “optimized” since i dont have them installed and i dont use them
-i previously mentioned that Whatsapp was not working. however i realized that in fact, it was not only whatsapp but all notifications via augmented smartwatch pro. i know for sure some of them were working for some time (for instance telegram) but at some point, it stopped receiving notifications
-the status page shows all green, except preferred music apps (disabled). no errors since last restart.
-i am able to receive the test notification correctly. but no notifications were received from the applications configured (whatsapp, telegram, email…).
i am not really aware changing any configuration, but no notifications were received anymore, except the test notification.
then i played around in the configuration, changing some options, also rebooting both devices, but nothing helped.
in the end, in my android phone, i went to applications, augmented smartwatch pro, deleted all data and forced close.
with this, i think the config was again reseted to its default since i do not see anymore the notifications that i added. i check again the ones that i want in “all other notification”. i remove the notifications that i do not need in “optimized”.
and now, it is working again for the moment.
not sure, if it was an isolated issue, or after some days, the same issue will appear, i will see

hmm thanks for the update – next time go to accessibility and turn it off then turn it back on again.
Yes, now that you mention, there was one notification in the smart watch complaining that accessibility option was not enabled. However i checked and it was enabled. In any case I turned it off and on again, but it did not work.
It seems it was a strange behavior, for the moment it did not happen again
i think that something is not working well.
everything is fine and i get notifications, but after some time working fine, suddently it becomes quite unstable, without doing any change in the settings.
for instance when i receive some whatsapp/telegram messages, i see them in the phone and at the same time the watch screen it is turned on. normally it should show the message immediately, but sometimes i see some kind of animated progress bars (from left to righ), but in the end nothing, and the screen goes off after a while. when this happens, then i lose all notifications.
i can see several messages arriving in my phone and at the same time the watch screen turned on with the progress bars, but in the end, no notification is shown.
at this point, normally i uncheck and then check back the augmented smartwatch permission to access notifications and normally this solves the issue, but then after some time (normally after some days) the same issue is repeated again. it is weird but without touching the settings, suddently the notifications are not shown anymore
I have seen this with some notifications – there are issues with Sony software when the android is “loaded” – this is specific to specific apps (like Google Voice).
try the always on watchface in augmented – does that help?

i think it happens with all apps. at least i do not have google voice and at this moment it is failing with whatsapp, telegram, email and agenda notifications, that are the ones that i normally use.
it is weird since as i said, it is working very well for some time, but without any modification, after some time it does not work anymore without changes in the settings.
just now, it happened again with an incoming email. again, the SW2 screen is turned on, i see the screen with the clock and the progress bars, and after a while the screen was turned off.
however this time i noticed something new. after approximately 1 second, the screen was turned on again and the email notification was shown. it looks like for some reason, the connection between phone and SW2 was delayed. this time only one second and the notification was shown. maybe if it is delayed longer, then it is definitely lost and not shown.
do you mean the ]sony watches option/sw2 specific options/enable low power watchface] option? yes, i just checked that option and without doing anything else, now it works again, i received some notifications!!!
but since I dont really like this option, i have unchecked back the option, and it is working again.
yes, normally deleting and reinstall the app helped. but just for some time (days/weeks).
it looks like after some time (it could be days or weeks), something enters in a strange state. and this remains in this anomalous state until some other change happens (configuration change, reinstall app, etc), and then it is working again.
I continue with the same issues, notifications are shown in the SW2 only for some limited period, and after some time there are no notifications 😦
Sometimes i am not even able to open the application in the SW2,
I also tried completelly install-reinstall, and also tried the different updates of the app, but none of them solved completely the problem.
Apart from issue, I found the app quite good, but after I paid 4.75€ (now i see it cost 3,62€) i am not sure if I would recommend it. At least not if this issue is not properly solved 😦
I think I may have reproduced this – but only on Android 4.4 – can you confirm this?

I just bought the Augmented SmartWatch Pro (ASP) for my new Metawatch stealth but for some reason, ASP is not activating the smartwatch, even after being reset and re-paired to my Motorola Photon Q — nor do I see any specific instructions for setting up the watch to work with ASP. Please tell me what I need to know to get it started. According to the phone, it is paired and bluetooth is on but there is seemingly no communication between the watch and the phone. Please help.
For metawatch you need to use the older noah manager (which is no longer on the play store it appears) or email me for a pre-release on version 7.0 where it supports the latest official metawatch manager
I do have a few questions since there does not seem to be an official setup guide for the Metawatch anywhere. What do you mean by the older “NOAH” manager? You said the pre-release version of 7.0 “supports the latest official metawatch manager.” Does this mean that the official Metawatch manager needs to be installed on the phone before Augmented Smartwatch Pro is installed in order for ASP to work?
Some of the online marketing says that ASP now supports Metawatch, but, evidently, this is not true for the latest version (that is presently a prior release to the yet unreleased version 7). I paid for this latest official version that does not actually support the Metawatch thinking that it did support Metawatch, based on what was on the ASP web site. Should this fact not be pointed out on the web site to other Metawatch owners BEFORE they purchase the app? Also will version 7 be a free of charge upgrade from the present app that does not support Metawatch?
Finally, could you write some simple step-by-step instructions on how ASP shoud be set up on Metawatch, using present official releases and also using the beta version and the upcoming version 7?

MW keeps changing their mind – they even sent me free watches to support but things changed.
With 7.0 there is a new option for MW – more @

are you using accessibility or notification access via security/system settings for augmented?
Yes, I have. I can see Notification Bar Memo notification on SW2, but this communication app… some notifications doesn’t.
I connect the phone to a motoactv, I use the trial verson of the augmented smart watches and I love it. the problem is that the accessibility on the phone seems to switch of for the app itself, after I on it for a few minutes, any solution?
if on android 4.4 use security -> notification access (instead of accessibility).
if not this seems very unusual – maybe reinstall augmented app.

Yes I have one to be picked up next week. Augmented already supports android wear but I will be looking to optimize for 360 as I can.
How long does the trial version last? I installed it, went through the set up and started get notifications from K-9 Mail…like dozens. Then I noticed there were Trial Expired messages in between K-9 notifs. I’d been using it for about an hour. Is it limited by time, or something else, like # of notifs? Thanks so much!
it lasts for 20 alerts before it needs to be reset – you can reset by opening augmented app on android hit & hit exit option in menu.

The app is working great with my moto 360 except that I cannot get it to work with calendar events. The standard calendar events come through always and the standard vibration is way too subtle. Phone is nexus 5 on 5.0.1. Any ideas? Tx.
you need to enable the calendar app in augmented settings and select the calendars to enable under android wear options in augmented smartwatch. This will pick up the vibration pattern you set up.

Just to confirm – is the issue the vibration are not strong enough or you do not get calendar alerts or both?
The issue is that I get the default calendar notifications from android wear, I get no calendar notification from augmented smartwatch. The android wear notifications only have a short single vibration which is too subtle.
ok can you go into augmented settings – all other notifications and enable the calendar app you use?
I’m afraid I already tried that and it made no difference. (The calendar app I use is the built in android calendar).
you will also need to enable the calendars to select from to show – if using android wear this is under the android wear options in augmented.
Otherwise you can set in augmented – optimized notifications.
I upgraded from the pebble to the Moto360 but issues getting ASW to work. Do I install a)Android wear app, 2)ASW app, and 3)ASW Wear app? I tried just the two ASW apps, but no notifications show up on the phone.
You need all 3 for the best experience.
Android wear is critical to do anything with the Moto360 (independent of Augmented apps).
I suggest using the following settings which may not be enabled by default if coming from the Pebble:
augmented wear settings – enable “use text for alerts”
android wear options – “enable optimize for sender pictures”

Hi i jsut baught pro since most reviews say its great on the sony SW2. but i had the trial on it before and i made sure to uninstall it before i installed the pro but the trial ap wont delete from the watch or the phone, the pain phone app uninstalls but some how leaves the trial watch app behind and the pro app wont install on the watch at all probably because the old trial app is still in place and wont go away no matter what i do. please how can i force the thing out so the pro will install to the watch?
ok so the pro magically appeared after some time and appears to work. but still have the old trial relic sitting there with no icon so its a blank space on the watch and a ? in the phone

What you should do is do a backup (from trial version) from augmented – menu -> backup
Delete the trial version and the pro version.

i did remove both but it still leaves the trial app there, not sure what to do short of removing all the smartwatch software from the phone altogether and reinstalling

No plans to support – still on Android Wear. The Gear S2 now supports non-Samsung Androids (but still not compelling enough for me).
